Crop PDF pages
Cut the empty edges off a PDF, or keep only the part of a page that matters. Crop all the pages alike or just one, and watch the preview change before you save anything.
How to use it
- Pick your PDF, or drop it onto the box.
- Drag over the preview to mark what to keep, enter a trim for each side in millimetres, or let TeddyPDF find the empty margins.
- Press Crop and save, then look through the copy before you use it.
Choosing how to crop
If you want an identical cut on every page, set the margins yourself: drag a box over the preview, or type a figure for the top, bottom, left and right edges. This suits scans with broad borders or slides where only the picture is wanted.
If the amount of empty space varies from page to page, choose the automatic trim. TeddyPDF looks at each page on its own and trims to just beyond its words and images, leaving any blank page untouched.
A crop is not a redaction
Cropping hides content outside the selected area; it does not securely remove it. Whatever falls outside your crop is still inside the file, and a PDF editor can bring it back. For names, account numbers or other private details, use Redact PDF instead.
Questions and answers
Does cropping shrink the file?
Rarely by much, since the hidden area is kept in the file. Run the cropped copy through Compress PDF if you need it smaller.
Can I crop a single page?
Yes. Set Crop to Only the page shown, choose that page, and crop it. Every other page stays exactly as it was.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The cropping happens in your own browser, and the page locks itself before your file is opened, so the document cannot be sent anywhere.
Does TeddyPDF upload my file?
No. Your browser does all the work, on your own device. Before it opens your file, this page shuts off its own ability to send or fetch anything, and your browser holds it to that.
