How to use it
- Pick your two documents. Choose one PDF for each box, then check that you have them in the order you expect.
- Choose where to begin. Start from the first pages or line up a particular section using a different starting page in each file.
- Take a closer look. Browse the marked pages, switch between views and save a simple summary of the results.
A clearer view of your pages
TeddyPDF turns each selected page into a picture for comparison. When part of one picture differs from the other, that area gets a mark to help you find it.
Read the pages beside each other, or lay one over the other and move the slider between them. You can hide the marks to see the page without anything in the way.
The marks show places to review. They do not explain what was changed or whether it is important.
Keep the right pages together
A new cover or an extra page can put two documents out of step. TeddyPDF follows page order rather than guessing which pages belong together.
Pick a starting point in each PDF to bring the section you need back into line. A page with no partner is shown on its own instead of disappearing from the results.
Tall, wide and mixed-size pages keep their proportions. A different page size is reported even when the pages are otherwise blank.
On your device, under your control
Your PDFs are opened after the tool has entered its private processing mode. The comparison happens in the browser rather than on a document-upload server.
Both files can be up to 25 MB, with no more than 300 pages each. TeddyPDF checks up to 50 page positions at a time, and you can select another section afterwards.
A shorter selection and Standard detail are the best starting points for a phone that struggles. Some unusually large or unsupported pages cannot be checked by this version.
The results do not inspect hidden information or validate signatures. Keep the original documents and review important wording directly.
Questions and answers
Can TeddyPDF tell me that nothing has changed?
It can say that it found no visible differences at your chosen settings. That is not the same as proving the files are identical, because small changes and information outside the page pictures may not be found.
Can I compare only a few pages?
Yes. Choose a section, enter the starting page for each PDF and say how many page pairs to check. The results will make clear which part of the documents was included.
Do I get a new PDF with the changes marked?
This version shows the marked pages in your browser. You can download a text summary listing the pages and results, but it does not create an annotated PDF or alter either original.
Does TeddyPDF upload my file?
No. Your browser does all the work, on your own device. Before it opens your file, this page shuts off its own ability to send or fetch anything, and your browser holds it to that. Once the software a tool needs has loaded and the privacy lock is on, the work carries on even with your Wi-Fi off. How the lock works.
