FilePresto picture engine: exact build and source information ============================================================= FilePresto (filepresto.com) uses ImageMagick compiled for the browser to open TIFF files, to pick frames from animated GIF files and, when the browser itself cannot, to open unusual BMP files. It runs entirely on the visitor's device. The files are served unchanged, exactly as published. Package: @imagemagick/magick-wasm 0.0.43 (Apache License 2.0), by Dirk Lemstra Source: https://github.com/dlemstra/magick-wasm/tree/0.0.43 (tag commit 85008a8) Native: @dlemstra/magick-native 2026.824.1923 (ImageMagick 7.1.2-30, Q8, wasm32) Source and build scripts for ImageMagick and every library below: https://github.com/dlemstra/Magick.Native/tree/2026.824.1923 (tag commit 566ae32) The same repository holds the scripts that build the browser version. ImageMagick: https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick (ImageMagick License, https://imagemagick.org/license/) Files served by FilePresto: /assets/lib/magick/magick-engine.js = dist/index.js from the package, unchanged. /assets/lib/magick/magick-wasm.bin = dist/x86/magick.wasm from the package, unchanged, compressed with gzip for delivery and decompressed in the browser before use. /assets/lib/licences/magick-wasm-NOTICE.txt = NOTICE from the package (licences of ImageMagick and the 23 libraries it contains). /assets/lib/licences/magick-wasm-LICENSE.txt = LICENSE from the package (Apache License 2.0). Libraries under the GNU Lesser General Public License ----------------------------------------------------- The engine contains libde265, libheif, glib, liblqr and LibRaw, which are published under the GNU Lesser General Public License (their licence texts are in the NOTICE file). Their complete corresponding source code, and the scripts used to build and link them into the engine, are public at the Magick.Native link above, at the exact tag used. You may replace the engine with your own modified or relinked version. The engine is a separate file that the page loads by name (magick-wasm.bin, gzip-compressed WebAssembly), and the page does nothing to prevent it being replaced: for example, a browser's developer tools or a local override can serve a rebuilt magick.wasm in its place. Changes by FilePresto: none to the engine files. FilePresto's own code (/assets/tools/magick-worker.js) calls the engine's published functions, and is not part of the engine.
